New Music: Joyce Manor – “NBTSA”

California’s Joyce Manor are the latest act to release music through Polyvinl Records’ subscription-based “4-Track Singles Series.” Head below to check out their track “NBTSA.”

If you haven’t done so already, head here to get in on the 2017 installment of the “4-Track Singles Series.” In addition to Joyce Manor, this year has also featured Tim Kasher and Ra Ra Riot, and previous years have featured acts like Beach Slang, Modern Baseball, Diet Cig, and more.

Joyce Manor’s latest full length, Cody, was released in October 2016 through Epitaph Records. It is the band’s fourth full-length album, and it serves as the follow-up to 2014’s Never Hungover Again.



New Video: Jeff Caudill (Gameface) – “I Wouldn’t Wait” from new EP, “Reset The Sun”

With Gameface back on indefinite hiatus, it’s been a minute or two since we’ve heard from Jeff Caudill, but that doesn’t mean he’s been staying quiet. He’s got a brand-new EP, Reset The Sun, that’s due out in a limited vinyl run today as an official Record Store Day release (it came out on digital formats yesterday).

For a hint as to the smooth, modern Americana vibe that is featured on Reset The Sun, Caudill has released a video for the track “I Wouldn’t Wait.” Check it out below.

Gameface, as you probably know, have been quiet since the 2014 release of their latest full-length, Now Is What Matters Now, which itself was their first album in over a decade.

Planes Mistaken For Stars have announced a US tour in June. The band, who returned with a new album, “Prey“, last year on Deathwish, have announced a 12 date US/Canadian tour.

Balance and Composure announce Record Store Day 7″

Balance and Composure have announced that they are to release a 7″ to mark this year’s Record Store Day. In a Facebook post, the band said detailed the 22nd April release of “Slowheart”, featuring unreleased tracks from the “Light We Made” sessions.

The release will be limited to 1000 copies. See the Record Store Day website for local stores.



Downtown Boys stream new song “Somas Chulas”off upcoming album

Self Defense Family stream track from upcoming 7″

Self Defense Family are streaming a track from their upcoming 7″, two track offering. “Bastard Form” and “Maybe You Could Explain It To Me” make up the Alternative Labels release, which is up for pre-order now.

Joyce Manor release 7″ split for charity

Cali punks Joyce Manor have teamed up with Crying front woman Elaiza Santos’ solo project, called 100%, to release a two-song split with all proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.

New Music: Ted Leo teases upcoming solo album via Kickstarter campaign

The inimitable Ted Leo has announced plans for a brand-spankin’-new solo album, the first to bare his name since the last album with The Pharmacists, 2010’s The Brutalist Bricks. Having parted ways with previous his previous label home, Matador Records, Leo is going the way of Kickstarter for the new project. Here’s the man himself:

I’ve thought a lot about this. I’ve always had my hands deep in the processes of making a record, promoting a record, touring on a record, etc. And I’m going to carry that knowledge, gained in the trenches, forward to keep doing this – keep making records, keep touring, keep speaking out, keep singing about all of the things that are important to us; and as part of that, keep challenging MYSELF to keep growing, keep evolving.

Leo is planning on getting the new material out in September. Kickstarter options include signed LPs, Skype chats, private concerts, and a vegan meal with Ted and your friends! Check out all of the options right here, and preview five minutes of the upcoming material while you’re there!

Florida progressive/emo/whatever band You Blew It! debuted a new video today. It’s for their track “Arrowhead,” and you can check it out below.

Like what you hear? “Arrowhead” appears on You Blew It!’s critically acclaimed latest album, “Abendrot,” which was released last November through Triple Crown Records. The band are also on tour with All Get Out, and you can check out the relevant dates and locations here!



Downtown Boys Sign With Sub Pop Records

Providence, Rhode Island’s Downtown Boys recently announced that they have signed a deal with Sub Pop Records.  The band is currently working on a new album that the label will be releasing later this year.

Downtown boys last released Full Communism on May 5th via Don Giovanni Records.

 



The Fullblast stream new song “Stay”

Ontario skate punks The Fullblast have released another new song off of their upcoming EP, Attack.Sustain.Decay, and you can check it out below.  The song, called “Stay,” is the second single released from the album (you can listen to “Redemption” here).

The new album is due out on February 24th, and it will be their first release in more than 10 years.
