Panic State Records raise money for relief in Nepal

Panic State Records has just announced that they will be selling $10 shirts and donating 100% of the profits to relief efforts in Nepal. Check it out here. On the fundraising, the company commented:

This is the first shirt we ever printed in the traditional colors of the Tibetan Monks – Burgundy and Gold – coming back to help raise money for the people of Nepal and Tibet – just like we did for the Students for a Free Tibet 6 years ago!

The logo mentioned is displayed above.

The team will also be including every digital release the label has produced (14 records in total) as a “thank-you” for the donation.

Slam Dunk 2015 festival announced

The annual Slam Dunk festival announced its 2015 dates and lineup. Performers are set to include Taking Back Sunday, Goldfinger, Gallows, Reel Big Fish, Bayside, Knuckle Puck, H20, Millencolin and more. There are as many 40+ unannounced artists across the entire 3-day festival, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated with details on that.

This years Slam Dunk Festival will take place in Leeds, Hatfield, and Wolverhampton. See here for details.

No Sleep Records signs singer/songwriter Rocky Votolato (ex-Waxwing); February tour, Spring release

Longtime musician Rocky Votolato has just announced his signing to No Sleep Records. The label recently re-issued Rocky’s 2006 album “Makers”, and Votolato has stated plans to release a new record this upcoming Spring.

Rocky was a founding member in the post-hardcore outfit Waxwing, before branching out on his own and releasing seven solo albums.

Most recently, Votolato has been seen on the Revival Tour with Chuck Ragan, and warming crowds up around the country. You can have a look at his upcoming tour dates and locations below.

Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties have just released a video of one of their full shows, shortly after completing their first full band tour in December. You can check out the video below.

In case you’re not up-to-date, Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties is the solo project of The Wonder Years frontman Dan “Soupy” Campbell. The group’s debut We Don’t Have Each Other was released on July 8th via Hopeless Records.



Soundwave Festival announces full lineup

Soundwave Festival organizers made a 3rd announcement today about next years lineup and revealed that The Smashing Pumpkins and Steel Panther will be joining the show. The festival is set to include bands like Faith No More, Soundgarden, Lamb of God, Ministry, former My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, New Found GloryAtreyuThe Aquabats, Slipknot, Fall Out Boy, Judas Priest, LagwagonAll Time LowTonight AliveThe Swellers, Fucked Up, Millencolin, and many other acts.

Burly Calling announces full lineup with dates and times

The 8th annual Burly Calling Festival, which takes place in Burlington, Ontario, has announced it’s full blown lineup along with the dates and times of the scheduled performances. The lineup includes sets from Fucked Up, Junior Battles, Black Cat Attack, Teenage Head, Silverstein, The Dirty Nil, Hounds, TV Freaks and many more. The festival is scheduled to take place this December 4th – 8th.

Real Screamo Compilation 4 featuring The Saddest Landscape, State Faults, Wounds, and many more

This past Saturday, the Real Screamo Compilation vol 4 was released to the masses. The album features 42 bands each performing one song. With this many bands, you’re sure to find something new to enjoy.

The proceeds from the compilation will benefit RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), which is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

SideOneDummy announces #TestPressThursday auction series, donating proceeds to charity

SideOneDummy Records has announced a series of charity eBay auctions in which they will auction off a handful of test pressings from their catalog to benefit MusiCares and Harmony Project. The first of these auctions will be held this Thursday, Nov. 7.

The records are to be sold through SideOneDummy’s eBay account. The first batch will contain test pressings from MxPx, Title Fight, The Horrible Crowes, among others.

 



Affiance announce US tour; set to release “The Campaign”

Melodic metal group Affiance are getting ready to release their new album, “The Campaign”, through Bullet Tooth Records on November 13th.

Today, the band has announced that they will be heading out on a big US tour for the months of November and December. Additional acts include Protest The Hero, Architects, and The Skindred.
