Agnostic Front stream cover of “Blitzkrieg Bop” off “Respect Your Roots” comp

Agnostic Front are streaming a cover of the famous Ramones song “Blitzkrieg Bop” right here.

The song appears on Strength Records new compilation album “Respect Your Roots” released earlier this month and featuring covers from Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Napalm Death, Generators, The Unseen, Freddy Madball, and many more.

As a follow up of the very succesfull “Worldwide Tribute to the Real Oi!” albums, the guys at Strength Records have now compiled a sampler with the scene’s best bands around today going back to their roots and covering the songs of their youth.

Each of the bands were free to choose whatever song they wanted to cover and were not restricted to a genre or a style.

The result is an impressive track list with a great variety of songs and is combining the best of hardcore, punk, oi!, rock, rock n roll and a shot of metal from some of the scene’s best musicians, including Agnostic Front, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Napalm Death, Generators, The Unseen, Freddy Madball, and many more.

“Respect Your Roots” is set to be released December 1st, and comes with an impressive 36 page full-color booklet with band pictures, info and a story from each band about the song they chose to cover.



Covers comp to feature exclusive tracks from Rancid, Good Riddance, Dropkick Murphys and more

This is awesome.  Strength Records, a label founded by Agnostic Front‘s Roger Miret, is currently working on a compilation called “Respect Your Roots Worldwide” which will feature a bunch of great bands “covering songs of their youth.”  Bands like Rancid, Good Riddance, Dropkick Murphys, Terror, Biohazard, Death By Stereo, Agnostic Front, Flatfoot 56, The Unseen and a bunch more will all be contributed exclusive tracks for the release.

No release date or track listing yet but we’ll keep you posted as details surface.
