Video: Meat Wave – “Run You Out” Live from The Rock Room

Chicago’s Meat Wave recently stopped by The Rock Room (Illinois live off the floor recording sessions) to record a take of their song “Run You Out.” This song appears on their upcoming album, The Incessant. You can check the session out below.

Fat Wreck Chords and Dine Alone team up to release The Dirty Nil’s “Minimum R+B”

Didn’t see this one coming, that’s for sure!

Canadian punk rock trio The Dirty Nil have announced plans for a new release, “Minimum R&B.” It’s comprised of eleven tracks from the band’s back catalog, including one song that’s heretofore never been released. In a cool twist, the album is being released by the mighty Fat Wreck Chords in the States, with The Dirty Nil’s label, Dine Alone Records, taking care of the worldwide release. It’s due out April 28th; pre-orders will be available soon, so stay tuned.

Meat Wave stream new song “Bad Man” off upcoming album “The Incessant”

Chicago punk trio Meat Wave have released a new song for us all to enjoy! The track is called “Bad Man” and it is, along with the rest of the album, a self-reflection for vocalist/guitarist Christopher Sutter following the slow end to an 11-year relationship.

These emotional times lead Sutter to write some of the best material he has ever laid down and, with the help of legendary engineer Steve Albini, the band has been able to churn out an album that is leagues above anything they have done before. This track is but an indication of the things to come on the rest of the record.

AFI release new video for “Aurelia”

AFI continue their epic promotional campaign for new album “AFI (The Blood Album) with a video for “Aurelia”. The album was released January 20th.

Potty Mouth (pop punk, Massachusetts) announce headline tour with Partybaby and Tennis System

Pop punk trio Potty Mouth are hitting the road with Partybaby and Tennis System this February. The tour will take the three bands across North America, visiting a healthy selection of States on the way. Check out the full list of dates on the larger tour poster below.

Potty Mouth are currently recording another full length album. Their latest release was the 2016 effort Smash Hit.

The Dollyrots to release new album, “Whiplash Splash,” in March

LA-based punk rock duo The Dollyrots have announced release information for their upcoming studio release, “Whiplash Splash.”

The album, which was completely crowd-funded, will hit the streets on March 24th, and it’ll be released on their own label, Arrest Youth. Pre-order options are still available through the Pledge Music page here.

“Whiplash Splash” is the band’s first studio release since 2014’s “Barefoot and Pregnant.” They also released a live album/DVD last year.

Music Video: Waterparks – “Royal”

Texas rock/pop-punk group Waterparks have premiered a music video for their track “Royal.” You can watch the video below.

“Royal” comes from the band’s debut album, “Double Dare,” which was released on the 4th of November, 2016.

Cheap Girls break up, singer issues apology statement for past behavior

In surprise news, Lansing’s indie-rock outfit Cheap Girls have decided to call it quits. Singer Ian Graham posted the news on the band’s Facebook, complete with a confession of acting in “predatory ways” and “abus[ing] the artist/fan dynamic.”

Weezer announce Western Canadian tour with The Flatliners

Los Angeles Rock veterans Weezer have announced a tour of Western Canada this coming spring. They will be joined by Canadian punks The Flatliners from March 31st to April 8th as the tour moves from Saskatoon, SK to Penticton, BC. Weezer released their latest album, The White Album, on April 1st, 2016. The Flatliners released their EP, Nerves, last October and have plans for a full-length this year.

Modern Baseball stream new song from split with The Superweaks & Thin Lips

Philadelphia’s Modern Baseball have premiered a new song titled “This Song is Gonna Buy Brendan Lukens a New Pair of Socks.” You can give the track a listen below.

Western Daughter releases new song, “Exhibition on Main St.”

Idaho indie-punks Western Daughter recently announced their signing to Massachusetts-based Take This To Heart Records, and now they have a few more announcements that will be good news for their fans.  

The band has announced that they will release their new album, Driftwood Songs, on March 24th.  In the meantime, you can check out a brand-new song called “Exhibition on Main St.,” here.  Pre-orders for the new release are available through Take This to Heart’s online store.

Late Bloomer announce Southeast US tour

North Carolina punk/grunge/rock/whatever group Late Bloomer are headed back out on short tour throughout the Southeast US, joined by their familiar friends, Alright. Check out the dates/locations, along with the tour poster, below.

Late Bloomer recently signed on with 6131 Records, and hope to have their first release on the label out sometime this year. Their previous album is 2014’s Things Change.

Sorority Noise announce new album

Hartford, Connecticut’s Sorority Noise have announced they will be releasing a new album titled You’re Not As _____ As You Think on March 17th through Triple Crown Records.
