The Methadones announce last show ever

Having thrown in the towel earlier this year, The Methadones have announced plans for their last show ever.  The show will take place this weekend on Saturday, Novermber 13th at Reggies’s Rock Club in Chicago. The Methadones’ last stand will also feature support from The Soviettes, The Copyrights and The Jetty Boys.  You can find out the details and RSVP to the show here.

The band’s last album, This Won’t Hurt, was released on Red Scare in 2007 and have plans to release a B-Sides collection on November 16th via Asian Man Records.



The Copyrights added to Insubordination Fest, update fans on new album

Illinois pop-punkers The Copyrights have been added to this year’s Insubordination Fest, joining Less Than Jake, Teenage Bottlerocket, Smoking Popes, The Menzingers, and many more.

The band also announced that recording process for their new album has been finished and that it’s currently in the mixing stage. The band writes that they’re taking their time on this one so it looks like we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to hear what the guys have put out!

The Copyright’s last album, Learn The Hard Way, was released in 2008 on Red Scare Records.

The Copyrights head to recording studio to work on new album

copyrightsThe Copyrights just announced that they will begin recording drum tracks this week at Atlas Studios in Chicago. That was all the band had to say about their upcoming album. Keep checking back on Dying Scene as there are sure to be more updates and info in the near future.

The Copyrights working on new album

copyrightsIt’s been almost two years since The Copyrights put out a new full-length but we won’t have to wait much longer for a new one.  The band is currently working on new demos and is planning on heading into the studio in March.  If all goes according to plan the new album will be out by this Summer.

This month-long odyssey will take Red Scare’s horniest bands all across the land and into your dark hearts. Bands like Cobra Skulls, Copyrights, the Sidekicks, the Menzingers, and even occasional guest appearances from bands like Druglords of the Avenues and the Methadones. It’s the finest bunch of god-hating goofs ever assembled. All the bands have new releases, so please check out the dates, get out to a show, and dance like a buffoon.
