Senses Fail detail new album “Renacer”

Posted by Johnny X on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:55 AM (PST)

Senses Fail will release their fifth full-length studio album entitled “Renacer” (ray-nah-serr) on March 26, 2013 on Staple Records. Renacer was recorded in Los Angeles, California at both The Airport Studio and Red Bull Studio with producer Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) at the helm.

Singer Buddy Nielsen states:

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in February 2012 and immediately got to work writing Renacer. The approach to this record was to embrace change and explore a different side of the band. The process was long, but was probably the smoothest out of any other record because we wrote without any boundaries. Renacer is by far our heaviest effort to date, which felt like a natural progression for us. We chose to work with Shaun because of our respect and love of the music he has made in Far and the work he has done over the years as a producer. Shaun was a huge asset in crafting and harnessing the heaviness of the record without sacrificing the clarity and natural sonics that we wanted.”

“The name Renacer means “to be reborn” in Spanish. We chose the name because it reflected the change that we embraced in our personal lives as well as in our musical lives. The name ties together the themes of the record, which touch on change through positivity, balance, spiritual growth and love. We are very proud of the work we have done and are extremely excited to share it with the world.”

Senses Fail recently announced a UK tour scheduled for late spring and will be announcing their US tour plans shortly. Pre-order details for the album will also be announced in the coming weeks.

The band’s last album, a 10 year retrospective entitled, Follow Your Bliss: The Best of Senses Fail, was released this past June. Their last studio album, The Fire, was released on 2010 on Vagrant Records.

Senses Fail finish new album

Posted by ChrisDude on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 6:00 PM (PST)

Senses Fail are apparently finished recording their fifth studio album, which is likely to be released next year. Here’s a lengthy update from the band:

“Today is our last day at Red Bull Studios.  We just finished the drums, so we’re hanging out in the control room listening to all of the magical sounds!  Did I mention that today is my birthday? Well it is!  When it’s your birthday, Matt does the scratch guitar for the songs, leaving you to drink all day like a champion.

What do you drink when you are chilling hard as fuck in a baller studio?  I’ll tell you what: A “Crosses Special.”  I’m going to teach you how to make one.

First, find a couple cuties—the little silly oranges, I mean!  Then, get a knife and cut them in half.  After that, grab a large glass and fill it with ice.  Then, find some vodka (Tito’s or Absolut will do), and pour it into the glass.  You are going for around a four count if you know how to bartend, or just fill it so the glass is a third-full.

Once your vodka is in there, squeeze those cuties and get all the juice out and into the drink.”

The band’s last album, a 10 year retrospective entitled, Follow Your Bliss: The Best of Senses Fail, was released this past June. Their last studio album, The Fire, was released on 2010 on Vagrant Records.

New Jersey screamo act Senses Fail have just announced their entrance into the studio to begin recording their fifth full-length album this week in Los Angeles, California. The guys will be working with producer Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) at The Airport Studio and Red Bull Studio. The recording is expected to wrap up in mid-December with a Spring 2013 release planned. Here’s what vocalist Buddy Nielsen had to say about the record,

Over the last 10+ years our influences have grown, and the creative well from which we draw has been dug deeper. This record stands to show where we are in our personal and creative lives. We’ve always counted on this band to be our rock and positive tool of expression through our highs and lows. Never has that been more clear than with this batch of songs.

The band’s last album, a 10 year retrospective entitled, “Follow Your Bliss: The Best of Senses Fail”, was released this past June.
