No Bragging Rights announce plans for new full-length

Posted by jaystone on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 4:14 PM (PST)

Riverside, CA, progressive/hardcore act No Bragging Rights have announced they will be entering the studio next month to record the follow-up to last January’s “Illuminator.” At the helm will be Kelly Cairns (As I Lay Dying, Chelsea Grin, etc) who was also the man behind “Illuminator.”

Here’s what NBR guitarist Daniel Garrow had to say:

“We’re excited to work with Kelly again because we know this record is a priority and he’s sure to capture what we’re going for. My personal goals for these songs weren’t necessarily based on structure or “rules” but what feels right; trying to stay within a melodic balance throughout the duration on the song. There’s something for everyone in there if you liked our last two full lengths! We’re very excited to release this material and tour heavily!”

A new label announcement is also expected from the band in short order. Stay tuned.

Rick McDonald leaves No Bragging Rights

Posted by lizakateisgreat on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 7:31 AM (PST)

Riversida, CA, progressive/hardcore act No Bragging Rights has split with bassist Rick McDonald. McDonald issued a statement about leaving the band:

“The decision to part ways with NBR has not been an easy one. Throughout the last 4 years of touring I’ve made so many friends and have had experiences that will give me a lifetime of memories to share. I’ve decided to take my hobby in graphic design to the next level and go full time with it, leaving no room for NBR’s non-stop tour schedule. I still love everyone in the band (except Daniel =P) and will continue to help and support them all the way to the top.”

No Bragging Rights will have Ryan “Beard” Warrell (ex-To Something Beautiful, A Thorn For Every Heart) fill in until they find a permanent replacement. The group last released “Illuminator” in January on Blk Heart Group.
