The Bastard Suns cancel Summer East Coast Tour

Bad news for fans of The Bastard Suns.

The Atlanta ska-punk group have announced that their upcoming Summer tour of the Eastern US is officially cancelled. Here’s the band’s statement:

We are deeply saddened to announce our Summer East Coast Tour is cancelled. We apologize to all out fans who were stoked to see us and we will be back as soon as possible. We will do a few Southeast shows this Summer. We are unfortunately back to looking for a full time Bass player again who can tour. These things happen but as always its Onward Upward!

Song Premiere: The Bastard Suns – “Right Place, Wrong Time”

Today we are stoked to bring you a song premiere from one of the small handful of bands that originally inspired me to start Dying Scene 4 years ago.  Atlanta reggae-punk act The Bastard Suns have been consistently putting out great albums for as long as I’ve known of them and their forthcoming “Long Live Song” is no exception.  The track “Right Place, Wrong Time” is the album’s opening track and you can feast your ears upon it below.

Long Live Song is slated for release on December 20th and was successfully crowd-funded through Kickstarter.  The band plans to support it on a national tour, in which they plan to “hit Georgia, Florida, Colorado, California, Texas and everywhere in between.”

Atlanta ska-punk act The Bastard Suns have announced they will be releasing their brand new album, Long Live Song on December 20th.  The album was successfully crowd-funded through Kickstarter, and the band plans to support it on a national tour, in which they plan to “hit Georgia, Florida, Colorado, California, Texas and everywhere in between.”

Long Live Song will follow up the band’s last release- the ambitious “Band for All Seasons” project, which consisted of four, five song EPs released at the beginning of each season through all of 2011.

Atlanta ska-punk act The Bastard Suns have announced via their newsletter that they have completed recording their new album “Long Live Song.”  The album was funded with a kickstarter campaign and will be a follow up to the band’s “Band For All Season”, 4 EP project.
