Placeholder streaming cover of Nirvana’s “On A Plain”

Pennsylvania melodic punk band Placeholder is streaming their new work “On A Plain”. The track is a cover of Nirvana’s song, which was originally released on the Seattle grunge band’s 1991 album “Nevermind”.

“On A Plain” appears on Placeholder’s split 7″ (with Sleeping Weather), which was released last month through Escapist Records.



Placeholder/Sleeping Weather stream upcoming split 7-inch

Melodic Pennsylvania punk band Placeholder and Colorado’s Sleeping Weather are streaming their upcoming split 7-inch in its entirety. Check it out below.

Placeholder announce split with Sleeping Weather, stream new track “Weird Place”

Pennsylvania melodic punk band Placeholder have announced plans to release a split 7-inch with Colorado group Sleeping Weather.

The record is set to be released through Escapist Records in late fall of this year and will be available on colored vinyl as well as in the digital format. The digital release will also include a cover song from each band.

Placeholder streams “I Feel” off split with Such Gold

Pennsylvania punk band Placeholder is streaming a new song off their upcoming split with Rochester melodic hardcore group Such Gold. The song, entitled “I Feel”, is available for streaming here.

The split is part of Secret Audio Club’s Wax Packs project. The 7″ series will come packaged like baseball cards, and they’re due out January 28th.

The Fest is offering two comps featuring songs from bands playing The Fest 12, including Placeholder, Big Awesome, Broadcaster, Jabber, Dowsing, and many others, up for free download.

Placeholder announce US Winter tour dates

New England punk outfit Placeholder will be braving the cold weather for a tour that kicks off Dec. 28 in Frederick, Md. and wraps in Front Royal, Va. on Jan. 13.  Check out the dates and locations here.
