Strife announce new EP

Los Angeles hardcore act Strife have announced that they will be releasing a new EP titled Incision. The four song EP will be the first release via WAR Records, founded by Strife guitarist Andrew Kline.

Incision will be available on September 4, 2015 and will be released on vinyl, cassette, CD, and digital formats. Strife last released Witness a Rebirth, on November 6, 2013 via 6131 Records.



Strife to play three East Coast and two Canadian shows next month

Suicidal Tendencies to headline next year’s “Persistence Tour”

Crossover/hardcore punk icons Suicidal Tendencies have been announced as a headlining act for next year’s “Persistence Tour”, which will take place in Europe in mostly January. Also participating in the tour are TerrorEvergreen Terrace, Strife and Ramallah. All the dates can be found here.

Suicidal Tendencies’ latest album, 13, was released last March. It is their first studio album with all-new material since 2000’s Free Your Soul and Save My Mind, and is said to be the first of the three albums they completed back in November 2011.

Los Angeles, California’s Strife are gearing up for the release of their new album, “Witness A Rebirth”, which is being released by 6131 Records on November 6th. The full length is the band’s first offering in 11 years and features 4/5 of the line-up from their classic “In This Defiance” album released in 1997.

Strife also recruited long-time friend and founding member of Sepultura Iggor Cavalera to record drums for “Witness A Rebirth,” with Nick Jett (Terror, Rotting Out, Backtrack) handling production and Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed) mastering the release.

Strife announce East Coast record release shows

LA hardcore band Strife have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on “Witness A Rebirth,” their first album in over a decade. Today, they announced a couple East Coast record release shows.

As of now, two shows are scheduled: November 30th at El En Gee in New London, CT, and December 1 at The Barbary in Philly. Stay tuned for more dates as they are announced.

LA hardcore veterans Strife, as you may know, are set to release their first album in over a decade. Entitled “Witness A Rebirth,” the album is set to drop next month via 6131 Records.

Strife signs to 6131 for release of new album “Witness A Rebirth”

It’s been 11-odd years since Strife last released any new material, but today they have announced the coming of a new album aptly titled “Witness A Rebirth” which will be released this fall on 6131 Records.

With producer Nick Jett (Terror, Rotting Out, Backtrack) at the helm, Strife recruited friend and previous collaborator Iggor Cavalera (founding member of Sepultura) to perform drums for the album and traveled to Brazil to start the recording process with him. Soon after, they returned to California and put the rest of the pieces into place, including guest vocals by Billy Graziadei (of Biohazard) and Scott Vogel (of Terror), plus a guitar solo by Marc Rizzo (of Soulfly).

New Strife album coming in October?

It’s been 11-odd years since Strife last released any new material, but now, according to their Twitter account, they are set to release their long-awaited new record in October.

No further details have been revealed, but there have been reports that Igor Cavalera (formerly of Sepultura and currently of Cavalera Conspiracy) recorded the drum tracks, while the record will feature guest appearances by Soulfly’s Marc Rizzo, Biohazard’s Billy Graziadei and Terror frontman Scott Vogel. Nick Jett (also a member of Terror) was the producer of the album.

Strife’s last studio album Angermeans came out back in 2001 on Victory Records.
