Converge to begin work on new album

Get stoked! Converge are set to begin tracking for their new album. After playing Ritual Festival in Leeds, the four piece hardcore act ventured back home to the US to begin work for new material.

According to a recent instagram post from the band, it looks like the hardcore heavyweights are actively working on a new album.  Specifically, they wrote, “Last show of @apmdcult tour today at Ritual Festival in Leeds, then back home to start tracking the new @converge album.” Check it out below for the full instagram post.

Not much more info than that, but we’ll keep you posted as more details surface.

The new album will be the band’s first studio album since 2012’s “All We Love We Leave Behind” released via Epitaph Records.



Converge announce summer tour dates with Neurosis

Prepare to destroy everything. Converge has announced a slew of Summer tour dates with Neurosis spanning the Midwest and East Coast. Check out the dates and locations in the tour poster above.

Converge detail “Jane Live”

Converge have detailed the release of “Jane Live“, which is their “Jane Doe” album performed and recorded live in its entirety at Roadburn Festival in The Netherlands. The set was mixed by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at God City Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

Limited vinyl versions of the double album are being released, with various different covers and colours. All are up for pre-order on Deathwish’s webstore now.

 



Converge will release “You Fail Me – Redux” on June 17th

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge have announced that they will release a remastered version of their 2004 album.  You Fail Me – Redux will be remixed and remastered ahead of its June 17th release through Epitaph/Deathwish, Inc.  You can listen to the updated version here.

Originally released in 2004, You Fail Me was Converge’s follow-up to the acclaimed Jane Doe album.



Converge leaks trailer for upcoming “Thousands of Miles Between Us” release/DVD

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge are currently streaming two tracks from their upcoming DVD “Thousands of Miles Between Us”. The DVD will feature a 20 song set from their show at Union Transfer in Pennsylvania, and serves as a follow-up to the band’s 2003 “The Long Road Home: Thousands of Miles Between Us”, and is set for release on November 27th, with deluxe box sets available January 29th, 2016.

Mutoid Man (members of Converge, Cave In) stream new song “Sweet Ivy”

Mutoid Man (featuring Ben Koller of Converge and Stephen Brodsky of Cave In) are streaming a new song titled “Sweet Ivy,” which will be appearing on their upcoming album Bleeder. You can give it a listen below.

Bleeder is set to be released on June 30th through Sargent House. It will be the band’s first full-length album, serving as a follow-up to their 2013 EP Helium Head.



At the Gates to embark on the “Decibel Magazine 2015 Tour” with Converge and Vallenfyre

Swedish metal legends At the Gates will embark on the “Decibel Magazine 2015 Tour” with Converge and Vallenfyre next March and April. The dates and locations are below.

At the Gates will release At War With Reality, their first album in 19 years, on October 28th via Century Media. Converge are currently working on new material, which will be their first since 2012’s All We Love We Leave Behind. Vallenfyre released their latest album Splinters last May.



Every Time I Die post studio video from recording of latest album “From Parts Unknown”

Buffalo, NY hardcore group Every Time I Die have posted a video of the band working with Kurt Ballou of Converge during the recording of their latest album From Parts Unknown.

Deathwish Inc release summer sampler “2014: A Summer Of Blood”

Hardcore label Deathwish Inc. have released a summer sampler compilation album called 2014: A Summer Of Blood.  The album contains 20 tracks featuring bands like Converge, Touche Amore, Code Orange, and more.

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge have released a video for the tracks “Precipice / All We Love We Leave Behind” from their latest album, “All We Love We Leave Behind.” Check it out here.

The band have also released an exclusive t-shirt that features artwork from the video. Proceeds from the shirt will benefit Salem, Massachusetts’ Northeast Animal Shelter. Click here to check out the shirt.

This Is Hardcore Fest has announced this year’s lineup, which includes Title FightKillswitch Engage, and Converge.

Converge announce European tour with Martyrdöd and Okkultokrati

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge have announced dates for their “Europa Rising Tour”, which includes stops in Europe and the UK. Supporting acts for the tour, which will take place in August, include Martyrdöd and Okkultokrati. All the dates are below.

Converge are currently working on new material, which will be their first since 2012’s All We Love We Leave Behind. They plan to release the live album Live at the BBC sometime in early this year through Deathwish Inc.



Converge begin work on new music

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge have begun working on new material for their next release. Drummer Ben Koller, who posted a photo of Kurt Ballou with his guitar, wrote:

“Felt so great to work on some new Converge jammers with uncle Kurt tonight.”

Converge last released All We Love We Leave Behind was released on October 9th through Epitaph/Deathwish, Inc. They will release the live album Live at the BBC sometime in early 2014 through Deathwish Inc.



Converge detail new 7-inch “Live at the BBC”

Influential hardcore/metal act Converge have announced plans to release a new 7-inch featuring recordings of all the songs they played during their 2010 recording session with Simon Askew in the historic Studio MV4 at the BBC’s Maida Vaile Studios.

The seizure-inducing cover art for the 7-inch can be seen above and the tracklisting, along with a teaser video, can be found below.

“Live at the BBC” is set to be released sometime in early 2014 through Deathwish Inc. No solid release date has been confirmed, but we’ll be sure keep you posted as more details come to light!



LA Weekly lists their Top 20 Hardcore Albums
