New Music: Vinnie Caruana – “I’m Not Coming Home For Christmas (I’m Coming Home For You)”

Vinnie Caruana has been keeping busy with the newly reunited The Movielife of late, but he’s also got a solo track slated to appear on an upcoming movie soundtrack. The song is called “I’m Not Coming Home For Christmas (I’m Coming Home For You)” and you can listen to it below.

“I’m Not Coming Home For Christmas (I’m Coming Home For You)” appears on the soundtrack to a film called (Romance) In The Digital Age, which also features music from James Dewees from Reggie & The Full Effect and John Nolan from Taking Back Sunday and more. Astute fans of The Movielife may recognize the song as a stripped down reworking of the full-band track “Pour Two Glasses”from their latest album, Cities In Search Of A Heart.

 



Vinnie Caruana extends US solo tour

In addition to serving as the frontman of The Movelife and I Am the AvalancheVinnie Caruana has embarked on a fierce new solo effort.  You can now stream one of the new songs, “Burn it Down,” and you can stream it below.

“Burn it Down” will be the first track on the new album, Survivor’s Guilt, which comes out on May 27th via Equal Vision Records.  He will also be heading out on tour this June, and you can also find those dates below.



Vinnie Caruana (The Movielife, I Am The Avalanche) details debut solo full length, “Survivor’s Guilt”

Vinnie Caruana has kept himself busy for the better part of the last couple decades by fronting bands like The Movielife and I Am The Avalanche. 2013 brought us a small taste of solo Vinne by way of his “City By The Sea” EP, and at long last, we’ve got details of his debut solo full-length.

Entitled “Survivor’s Guilt,” the album is due out May 27th on Equal Vision Records in the US and Big Scary Monsters in Europe. Caruana gets help on the album from Kellen Robinson (I Am The Avalanche) on bass, Brett Romnes on drums, and Steve Choi (Rx Bandits) providing “instrumentation and sonic embellishments.” Romnes also doubled as the album’s producer and mixer.

Vinnie Caruana (I Am the Avalanche) has signed to Equal Vision Records. He is currently in the studio recording his debut solo full-length album.

He last released a split with Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday), Anthony Raneri (Bayside), Chris Conley (Saves the Day) in 2013.



Taking Back Sunday, I Am The Avalanche, Saves The Day, Bayside frontmen releasing “Our Voices” EP

This is kinda cool.  On November 25th Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday, Chris Conley of Saves The Day, Anthony Raneri of Bayside, and Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche will be releasing a split EP titled “Our Voices” on I Surrender Records.  To give you a taste of what’s to come you can stream Raneri’s contribution, “String Me Along” below.

Pop punk champion Vinnie Caruana (I Am the Avalanche, the Movielife) has announced a co-headlining tour with friend Geoff Rickly (Thursday). Vinnie will be supporting his debut solo EP “City by the Sea.” Check out the dates here.
