GWAR share Kickstarter for comic book series “Orgasmageddon”

Virginia’s GWAR have announced the second phase of their Kickstarter campaign for their 4-issue comic book series, Orgasmageddon. The campaign raised $32,000 in the first phase, with massive demand calling for a second. The new campaign also includes an exclusive t-shirt design, signed art, limited edition rare pins, and other merch items from the band themselves.

The story follows the band as they trudge through the past after being trapped in time, killing and creating the expected amounts of gore as they tear through human history. The outer space group also incorporates their 1990s side project “X-COPS” and SAWBORG DESTRUCTO (their infamous nemesis) into the story line, calling for an intense and fast paced reading experience for comic lovers alike.

You can check out the Kickstarter here and view all of the extra perks they have set up for contributors. It officially closes on November 25th, so get in on the action while you can!

GWAR last released “Battle Maximus” back in 2013 through Metal Blade Records.

Lineups announced for Riot Fests in Chicago and Toronto (too many to list in a headline)

Okay, so maybe we jumped the gun on the Denver Riot Fest and Rodeo lineup earlier. Not because the post wasn’t accurate (it was), but because it wasn’t the whole story.

The RF&C takes place from September 11th to the 13.

Meanwhile, the Riot Fest and Exposition takes place in Toronto September 19th and 20th and features Rancid (playing “…And Out Come The Wolves”), Alexisonfire, Motorhead, Thrice, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Against Me!, Andrew WK, Bayside, Gwar and Fidlar as well as acts like Drive Like Jehu, Wu-Tang Clan, Tyler the Creator and more.
