Violent Femmes announce fall tour dates

Milwaukee folk-punk legends Violent Femmes are coming off a tour with Echo & the Bunnymen and have announced some dates for a fall tour. The tour will take them through the east coast, the midwest, and Canada. See the tour dates below.

The band’s last studio album was 2016s We Can Do Anything.

Violent Femmes announce 2016 US tour

Alternative/punk veterans Violent Femmes have announced that they will be embarking on a tour of the US this coming May. The 14-date tour will start in Salt Lake City, UT on May 2nd and will conclude in Missoula, MT on May 19th. Check out a full list of dates and locations below.

The band will have released their new album We Can Do Anything by then, check out one of the tracks off of their first album in 15 years here.

Violent Femmes stream “Memory” off upcoming album ‘We Can Do Anything’

Alternative/punk legends Violent Femmes have released a stream of “Memory,” the first single off their long-awaited album We Can Do Anything. Of the song, Frontman Gordon Gano said:

“We even recorded [“Memory”]as a demo many years ago, [a]nd then it was forgotten about until digging into [our] archives, which led us to record it anew and release it.”

Violent Femmes finishing first album in over 15 years

Alternative/punk legends Violent Femmes have revealed that they have been in the studio finishing a new record, which was mixed by John Agnello and mastered by Chris Gehringer.

No title or release date for the new Violent Femmes record has been set, we’ll keep you posted as more details come to light. It will be the band’s first studio album since 2000’s Freak Magnet, and their first one with Brian Viglione on vocals.
