Paper Rifles (folk punk, UK) Stream Video for “Faith Healer” From Forthcoming Album

Edinburgh’s Paper Rifles are streaming a taste of their forthcoming record The State of it AllThe tune is called “Faith Healer” and marks a departure from the sound of previous releases, being as it features a full band. Despite the electrified influence, the track retains the melody and simplified charm of a great folk punk release. The band are yet to set a date for the rest of the album to drop.

Paper Rifles have produced a video for “Faith Healer” as well as including a b-side on their bandcamp page. You can check out both below.

Acclaimed Edinburgh based acoustic punk Paper Rifles has just announced the pre-sale of his brand new four track EP, And Then Came The Tourists, on Scottish punk label Struck Dum.

While the actual 7” EP isn’t out until April 9th, the pre-sale includes a track off the EP, an extra 10 tracks of bonus songs to immediately download, and a chance of winning the test press of the EP.

Billy Liar streaming benefit split with Paper Rifles

Edinburgh, Scotland solo folk punk act Billy Liar is streaming his split with Paper Rifles  in its entirety. The split benefits Refugee Survival Trust. The RST was set up in 1996 as a reaction to the problem of refugees and asylum claimants being made destitute in Scotland. Grants made by the RST either alleviate poverty and destitution, or help refugees and asylum claimants to overcome obstacles in accessing educational and employment opportunities.

The release is available digitally and on CD, and released via three awesome, independent Scottish labels, Make That A Take Records (Dundee), Anti-Manifesto (Edinburgh) and Struck Dum Records (Aberdeen). Billy Liar released his newest live record, Lies Lied Live on on Sept. 11 through Make-That-A-Take Records. Paper Rifles released Live at Tape Studio on Sept. 15.
