Bay Area pop-punks Daydream have just released a brand new full-length album titled “Enjoy Nothing” and you can stream it in its entirety below. What’s better, if you dig what you hear you can download it for free on bandcamp.
Here’s what the band had to say about the release:
“We wrote a record about learning to accept the people we’ve become. Sometimes you feel like nothing matters – like the things you loved don’t give you the same spark they once did. You don’t always have to pretend everything is perfect. Life is fucking ugly sometimes. That’s ‘Enjoy Nothing.’
We recorded the album ourselves. We just wanted to make something for people to have, connect with, and share. That’s why the record is completely free, we appreciate your time and ears.”
“Enjoy Nothing” is the band’s first release since their Promise You EP, which was released in March, 2016.
Bay Area pop-punks Daydream have a new video out for the song “Let It Be,” and you can watch it below. The video starts out with an interview with the band, before launching into the song.
“Let It Be” is the third of four songs on the band’s Promise You EP, which was released last March.

Oakland, CA’s Daydream have released a brand new acoustic EP titled “Everything Went Quiet”. The 3 track EP includes a cover of Against Me’s “Joy” and can be downloaded for free at their official website (stream it below).
Scott Goodrich had this to say about the release:
“Once the three of us started playing together, we knew right away what we wanted to do. We wanted to play loud. We wanted to play fast. If something didn’t have that natural energy to it, it got left behind.
But those songs didn’t always start out that way. They’re written on an old ’63 Gibson acoustic guitar in my apartment, with the blinds drawn in total silence. There’s an eerie “calm before the storm” feeling in those original moments before I bring the rest of the guys in to hear. We wanted to put these songs out as that same feeling, as the three of us are just now starting to record our first LP together in 8 years.
We’ve included a new song exclusive to this, an old song you’ve never heard done right, and a cover of Against Me!’s “Joy”. There are many special moments associated with that band, including when my dad bought me a pack of Mike’s Hard Lemonade to drink when I was 16 before going to see them play. If you haven’t already, I encourage you all to chase down their music right away.
There’s a fleeting moment after the loud amps turn off, before the ringing in your ears start, where everything goes quiet. When that happens, take that quick moment to remember that place in time. It’s a great, peaceful feeling.”
“Everything Went Quiet”, and their first release “Promise You”, can both be downloaded for free here.

Why these dudes can’t just stay in the same band is beyond me but as long as they keep pumping out tunes like this I don’t really care what they call themselves. Oakland punk act Daydream is the latest band to be formed by former members of Hear The Sirens and The Restless Hearts. Same singer, same song writing structure, same heartfelt lyrics and same speedy pop-punk delivery. In this case no change is a very good thing. Their debut EP “Promise You” is the band’s open letter to the past few years, detailing self realization, change and loss. Stream it below and if you dig it download it for free on bandcamp. ———————-
