August Burns Red announce new album “Phantom Anthem”

August Burns Red have announced that they will be releasing a brand new album this year. The record is called Phantom Anthem and it will officially be released on October 6th, 2017. To celebrate the announcement, the band has also released a new music video for their song “Invisible Enemy.”

The album will serve as a follow up to the band’s 2015 album, Found in Far Away Places.

Progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me have announced some tour dates to take place this spring.  They will be supported by August Burns Red, The Faceless, and Good Tiger.

August Burns Red will be heading out on tour in November in support of the new album. Found in Far Away Places was released through Fearless Records and follows the band’s 2013 full-length Rescue & Restore.



August Burns Red announce US headlining tour w/support from Every Time I Die

August Burns Red have announced a month-long US tour that’ll have them on the road from right around Thanksgiving until right around Christmas. The jaunt kicks off November 27th in Philly and runs through December 20th in Lancaster, PA, circling through most of the eastern half of the US in the process. Tickets for most dates go on sale this coming Friday; check out the full rundown below.

Direct support for August Burns Red comes from the likes of Every Time I Die, with Stick To Your Guns, Polyphia and Wage War tagging along for the ride as well.

August Burns Red has just released a music video for their song “Identity.” The weird and trippy video has the band play at the bottom of the sea while fending off sharks and dodging toxic waste, before transforming into mermaids and being swallowed by a whale. Check out the strange mess below.

Seven more bands added to Warped Tour 2015 lineup (Attila, August Burns Red, Memphis May Fire and more)

We’ve reached the that time of the week where I get to make snarky comments about the newest additions to the Warped Tour lineup and you get to tell me how it’s not punk anymore or whatever!

Seven more bands have been added to the lineup for the 2015 edition of the Vans Warped Tour presented by Journeys: Attila, August Burns Red, Memphis May Fire, Drama Club, False Puppet, We Came As Romans and A+ Dropouts. That brings us up around 924 bands on this year’s roster, though my math may be a little off. Check out the full rundown below.

Tickets for Warped Tour 2015 went on sale last month (December 12th). Get yours online here. The 2015 Warped Tour kicks off June 17th in Anchorage, Alaska, and runs through August 8th in Auburn, Washington.

August Burns Red have announced dates for their upcoming headlining tour, dubbed the Frozen Flame Tour. Miss May I, Northlane, Erra, and an unannounced special guest will open for the band. Check out the dates below.

The band recently signed to Fearless Records and are currently preparing a new album for release sometime in 2015, likely to coincide with this tour. Their latest full-length, Rescue & Restore, was released last summer through Solid State Records.

Fearless Records announces ‘Punk Goes Pop Vol. 6’

Fearless Records has announced that they will be releasing the sixth volume of their Punk Goes Pop series on November 17, 2014. The compilation will feature the likes of August Burns Red, We Came As Romans, Set It Off, State Champs, Knuckle Puck and more performing renditions of popular radio hits from the past year or so.

In what might be the most unlikely cover of the entire festival Pennsylvania metalcore band August Burns Red covered NOFX’s classic “Linoleum” at Slovenia’s Punk Rock Holiday festival a couple weeks ago.  The crowed f’ing loved it.

August Burns Red sign to Fearless Records, planning to release new album in 2015

August Burns Red have signed to Fearless Records with plans to release a new full-length album in 2015. Here’s what guitarist JB Brubaker had to say about signing with the label:

“We are all extremely excited to be a part of the Fearless family. Fearless has done an amazing job building a community within the label as well as a bunch of our friends bands and careers. We can’t wait to see what they can do with ABR. I am about 5 songs deep into writing the new record and I feel like it’s some of the most creative and heavy stuff we have ever written. 2015 is gonna be a great year for August Burns Red! See you on the road!”
