Annual Japanese alternative music festival Satanic Carnival has announced the lineup for 2017. You can find the full lineup in the poster below.
The announcement includes Ken Yokoyama (Hi-Standard), SHADOWS, Good4Nothing, Swanky Dank, Crossfaith, Crystal Lake, ENTH, HEY-SMITH, and Maximum The Hormone. Satanic Carnival ’17 will take place over two days, June 17 and June 18, at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba. The event is presented by Pizza of Death Records.

Japanese label Maximum-10 Records has announced they will be releasing a “new school melodic hardcore” compilation album, featuring two songs each from 5 Japanese bands. You can find the tracklist below.
The artists that will be contributing to the compilation will be post-hardcore band SHADOWS, melodic punk act LEXT, hardcore outfit Waterweed, melodic punks For A Reason, and another melodic punk band in The Coastguards. “MAYDIE 2” is set to release on March 8, and follows Maximum-10’s last compilation album, titled “This. MAYDIE!!”

“Progress” was released through Maximum-10 Records on the 17th of August. SHADOWS is made up of previous members of FACT and formed earlier this year. “Progress” marks their second EP in their first year under the new name.
