LEXT premiere music video for new track “Heading Nowhere”

Melodic punk act from Tokyo, Japan LEXT have premiered a music video for their new track “Heading Nowhere.” You can watch it below.

The track is taken from their upcoming single titled JAKARTA SUNRISE, which is set to be released on September 27 via I Hate Smoke Records. The single was recorded by Daihei Yamanaka, vocalist and guitarist for Cleave, and features gang vocals from Shuhei ‘BONES’ Dohi of Hollow Suns. The music video was recorded by the band’s friends and tour mates on the Rage of Dinosaur tour.



waterweed announce Asian “Rage of Dinosaur” tour w/ LEXT, Dradnats

Japanese melodic hardcore act waterweed have announced the “Rage of Dinosaur Tour” through Asia. The tour kicks off on July 28th in Tokyo, you can find dates and locations below.

The tour will be in support of waterweed’s recent second album release, Brightest. The album was released on April 5th via Maximum-10 Records. Joining them across the entire tour will be melodic punks from Tokyo LEXT and pop-punks Dradnats.

Japanese label Maximum-10 Records has announced they will be releasing a “new school melodic hardcore” compilation album, featuring two songs each from 5 Japanese bands. You can find the tracklist below.

The artists that will be contributing to the compilation will be post-hardcore band SHADOWS, melodic punk act LEXT, hardcore outfit Waterweed, melodic punks For A Reason, and another melodic punk band in The Coastguards. “MAYDIE 2” is set to release on March 8, and follows Maximum-10’s last compilation album, titled “This. MAYDIE!!”

If you purchase “END OF THE SUMMER” on Bandcamp you get those three songs, as well as the rest of the album for download. Check it out below.

The band’s previous album, “Poolside,” and their EP “Another Night EP” are also now available for streaming through the I Hate Smoke bandcamp. “END OF THE SUMMER” was recorded by Daihei Yamanaka, vocalist and guitarist for Cleave, and was released the 7th of September, 2016.
