Screaming Fastcore release 8-bit skate punk compilation “Fast Melodic Hard-Bits”

Here’s something a little out of the ordinary. Screaming Fastcore has just released a compilation that includes songs such as “Me” by Rufio, “Apocalypse Soon” by Mute, and “Slaves To The Pavement” by Belvedere. Here’s the catch though; they’ve all been converted to sound like they’re coming out of an 8-bit video game… the maddest 8-bit video game ever!

MercyStreet (ft. Scott Sellers of Rufio) stream new song “Out of the Question”

Former Rufio frontman Scott Sellers’ latest project MercyStreet are streaming a new song titled “Out of the Question,” and you can give it a listen below.

The band’s upcoming album Let Me Live is set to be released sometime this year. Their self-titled debut EP, which you can download for free by clicking here, was released in 2012.

Mercy Street, featuring former Rufio frontman Scott Sellers and bassist Taylor Albaugh, are streaming clips of all the songs appearing on their upcoming album Let Me Live. Check ’em out below.

Though it currently has no set release date, Let Me Live will be Mercy Street’s first full-length album. The band last released a self-titled EP, which you can download for free by clicking here.



Free Download: Scott Sellers (ex-Rufio) – “Garage Sessions”

Scott Sellers, former frontman for Rufio, has released a batch of new demos that he’s streaming online. The tracks, collectively known as the “Garage Sessions” are also available for pay-what-you-want download.

Rufio broke up earlier this year, but Sellers has continued to perform with fellow ex-Rufio member Taylor Albaugh as MercyStreet. MercyStreet released their debut EP earlier this month.

Rufio loses their drummer, but still “keepin on”

Pop punkers Rufio have unfortunately parted ways with their drummer Terry Stirling Jr. Here’s what he had to say.

I want to start off by thanking all of the fans for their endless
support they’ve shown me since I joined the band. My decision to leave is based on reasons for personal growth. We’ve been auditioning a few dudes that we’re super stoked on!! I’m excited to see my boys keep on keepin’ on :) Much love and lets party sooooon :)

Rufio and Mest Australian tour cancelled

Collateral Management have announced that Rufio and Mest’s Australian tour has been canceled due to immigration issues. Apparently the bands couldn’t get their Visa’s approved in time for the start of the tour, resulting in the cancellation of the tour itself. The bands say that they plan on getting back to Australia as soon as possible.

Guitarist Clark Domae announces departure from Rufio

Rancho Cucamonga’s melodic pop-punk group Rufio has been going through a lot of changes lately. A new lineup, a new album with a new sound, and now they’re going to be looking for a new guitarist. Founding member and guitarist Clark Domae has announced his departure here. This leaves Scott Sellers as the sole remaining original Rufio member. It’s a good thing, too, because if he left, Rufio’s signature vocal sound would leave, too. And the world is just not ready for that.

Strung Out add more dates to North American Tour
