War Moans is set to release this June on Sargent House Records. This is Mutoid Man’s first release since the album Bleeder in 2015.



RX Bandits announce ‘…And The Battle Begun’ album 10th anniversary US tour

Long Beach’s RX Bandits are celebrating 10 years since the release of their album …And The Battle Begun with a coast-to-coast US tour, with support from Irish prog-punk group, And So I Watch You From Afar. Check out all the dates/locations, along with the full tour poster below.

Along with the tour, the band announced they’re reissuing the album as a special 2-LP vinyl release. Those will be available at all RX Bandits shows on the tour, then worldwide through Sargent House Records in October. You can also stream the album right now over at the band’s Bandcamp page here.

RX Bandits released …And The Battle Begun in 2006 (duh, it’s a 10th anniversary tour). Their latest album is 2014’s Gemini, Her Majesty.



Mutoid Man announces North American Tour

Matt Embree (RX Bandits) covers Ellie Goulding’s “Guns and Horses”

Long Beach based frontman/musician Matt Embree of RX Bandits is streaming his cover of Ellie Goulding’s song “Guns and Horses”. The cover is set to appear on his upcoming A La Carte 7″, a rare flexi disk that will be released by Rare Breed Recording Co. The label themselves had the following to say about this upcoming release:

“We’re huge fans of Matt Embree. Hands down he is one of the most talented men we know. We could listen to him sing all day long and we are positive you could too. We teamed up with Matt to be a part of our flexi subscription and we’re so stoked he agreed. Here is a taste of Matt doing a version of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Guns and Horses.’ This is a must have for any collector or die-hard RX fan.”

Mutoid Man announce US summer tour

Mutoid Man (featuring Ben Koller of Converge and Stephen Brodsky of Cave In) have announced a month-long US tour they will be embarking on in early August. All of the dates and locations can be found below.

Irish progressive-punks And So I Watch You From Afar are streaming a brand new song called “Redesigned a Million Times”. The song is the fourth track off of their upcoming album called Heirs. Heirs is scheduled for release on May 5th via Sargent House Records and will serve as a follow-up to the group’s 2013 full-length All Hail Bright Futures.

Dublin synth-punk band No Spill Blood have released a stream of a new song titled “Harsh Route”. The track will appear on the band’s upcoming full length album Heavy Electricity. You can give it a listen here.

We’ve previously reported that Heavy Electricity was scheduled to be released on January 27, 2015, although the album has since been pushed back to March 10, 2015. It will be the follow up to the Street Meat EP that came out on July 31, 2012.

Circa Survive, RX Bandits, and From Indian Lakes will all be heading out on a UK and European tour together this coming May/June. Emma Ruth Rundle from LA band Marriages and Steve Brodsky of Boston’s progressive-hardcore group Cave In and New York metal act Mutoid Man have just released a live session together, and you can check it out below.

In the session, the two are performing “Living With The Black Dog” off Rundle’s latest album Some Heavy Ocean.

Brodsky’s Mutoid Man recently signed with the LA-based label Sargent House and has plans to re-release the band’s latest work, Helium Head.
