Anchor Eighty Four signs Dear Youth (pop-punk), stream new single “Out of Sight Out of Mind”

Los Angeles-based indie label Anchor 84 has announced the signing of pop-punk band Dear Youth and will be releasing their 5-track EP, You Could Wish Me The Best, on June 29.

To get a taste of what’s to come you can view the video for their first single from the album “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” below.

Formed in 2015, the Montreal-based band draws influences from bands like Blink 182 and Taking Back Sunday,. They released their debut EP Over the Bridge in October 2016.



Slowtrip sign with Anchor Eighty Four Records, new EP out May 18th

LA’s Slowtrip has signed with Anchor Eighty Four Records and are streaming “Makeshift Happiness” off their upcoming EP. The band includes members of Rotting Out, No Bragging Rights, and The Greenery. Though all hardcore bands, Slowtrip definitely is not. Slowtrip “branches off in a new direction with their own brand of LA grunge and shoegaze. Or as they like to call it, ‘Crunch Rock.'”

The new EP, “Blur,” will be out digitally May 18th and July 13th on vinyl. In the meantime, you can check out the crunch rock sound for yourself at NoEcho.

Massachusetts post-hardcore act In Good Nature have signed to Anchor Eighty Four Records.

To celebrate this new partnership, the band is streaming a new song called “Stowaway,” which you can check out below.

There is no word yet on whether this single will be followed up by an EP or full length release, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated!



Southpaw signs to Anchor Eighty Four label for 2017 release

Michigan pop-punk trio Southpaw has signed to Anchor Eighty Four Records.

The band will have a new release sometime in 2017.  Although there aren’t many other details to share for now, vocalist/guitarist Brandon Eikenberry recently said that the band is “stoked to be working side by side with a team that believes in our music and the evolution of it. In 2017 we’re going to release our best work to date”

Southpaw most recently released the 5-track EP Away Like Sheep in May of 2016.
