Hateful Monday (skate punk) release video for “Life Events”

Swiss punk act Hateful Monday have released a video for their song “Life Events”. Shot on the roof of a retirement home in Geneva, the video leaves me hoping that’s where I end up. How cool are these seniors to have a punk rock show on the roof of their digs?

Throughout their nineteen year career, this terrific trio from Geneva, Switzerland, has been recognized for their aggressive style of skate punk both in their home country as well as abroad. Their newest album, Unfrightened which is due out on September 15th, reinforces this signature sound with blazing, metal inspired guitar riffs and drums that sound like a chain gun. Prior to the album’s release, the sensational Swedes wanted to give us an exclusive, first listen to prepare us for the onslaught which is to come so, the least you could do is give it a listen! Hateful Monday’s last album was Must Be Somewhere which was released in 2013.

Straightline release 10 year anniversary edition of ‘No Way Out’

Munich skate punks Straightline have re-released their debut album No Way Out in celebration of its 10 year anniversary. The re-release features new artwork, as well as “better sound” (by the band’s own admission), and you can stream it below.

Straightline last released the Alteration of the Rules EP on June 30, 2014. It was the follow-up to the band’s 2013 full-length Final Redemption.

Straightline announce upcoming EP “Alteration of the Rules”

German melodic hardcore group Straightline has just announced the release of their upcoming EP, Alteration Of The Rules.

They have also released the cover art, which can be viewed above and was designed by the band’s bassist, Dominik Herzna.

This will be Straightline’s latest album since their 2013 release of their sophomore full length, Final Redemption.

The song is featured on a Much The Same tribute album that was released this week through Japanese label Torch of Hope Records.

Much The Same started in 1999 and announced their breakup in 2007.
