Washington punk vets MxPx are planning a vinyl reissue of their 2009 EP “Left Coast Punk.” The six-song EP was originally released by Rock City Records, while the reissue will be brought to you by Chicago’s own Sexy Baby Records. Wyoming punks Stat Dad  (featuring Miggy Chen of Teenage Bottlerocket) have announced they’ll be hitting the road for a quick run of midwestern tour dates.

The Queers/Killtime announce split 7-inch

Legendary New Hampshire pop-punk veterans The Queers have announced plans for a split 7-inch with Italian punk band Killtime.

The Vindictives stream upcoming EP “Mono Flexi”

Chicago’s old school pop-punk act The Vindictives are streaming their first new music since 1999.  Four new songs from their upcoming EP/7-inhc “Mono Flexi” can be heard here.

The album is slated for release December 4th through Sexy Baby Records.

Wyoming’s Stat Dad (featuring Miggy Chen of Teenage Bottlerocket) will be releasing “Mominatrix”, their debut album, October 16th through Chicago based label Sexy Baby Records.  As an intro to the band and the release we’re streaming the album’s title track for your listening pleasure.  Check it out along with a worded intro to the band from Miggy here.

“Hello everyone, we’re so excited to announce our debut record Mominatrix! We’ve got songs about bdsm, getting kinky and some other stuff. The record will be available on 7 inch vinyl and digital download through our good friends over at Sexy Baby Records this fall! We tracked the songs earlier this year at Green Door Recordings with our friend Felipe Patino and they were mastered at the Blasting Room by Jason Livermore! We hope you enjoy it!”

Sexy Baby Records introduces Flexi 7″ Vinyl Series with Rust Belt Demons

Sexy Baby Records has announced that they will be introducing a new 7″ vinyl series, “Never Mind the Singles… Here’s the Flexi Babies,” with Milwaukee working class punks, Rust Belt Demons.  Each of the Flexi 7″s will be a volume and a box set of the collection will be released after every 6 volumes.  Future volumes can be expected from bands such as Al and the Black Cats and more.  To stream volume 1, click here.

This will be the first new material to be released for Rust Belt Demons since their debut, “Local 77,” released in January 2011.

Congratulations are in order for the winner of our last Cover Art of the Week Battle, Johnny Murder and the 25 To Life!

The southside Chicago pychobilly band won going away against bands like Bouncing Souls, Local Resident Failure and Motion City Soundtrack.
