Scottish DIY label Struck Dum Records have just released their first of a yearly compilation series titled ‘Vol 1: Punks vs Depression‘. The album is available digitally as well as on a very limited CD!

The compilation features songs by bands such as The Murderburgers, The Kimberly Steaks, Lost Years, ASTPAI, Mike Moak (After the Fall) and many more.A lot of the songs are exclusive to the compilation!

100% of the compilation’s profits go directly to the SAMH who do great work in suicide prevention and assisting those with mental health issues back into the workplace!

While the actual 7” EP isn’t out until April 9th, the pre-sale includes a track off the EP, an extra 10 tracks of bonus songs to immediately download, and a chance of winning the test press of the EP.

Watchfires release video for single “Let the Walls Speak Our Names”

Scottish indie-punk act Watchfires have dropped a music video for their charity single “Let the Walls Speak Our Names,” which was released through Struck Dum Records. Watch the video below.

All of the proceeds from the song are going to The Scottish Flood Foundation to help with the ongoing fight against the flood damage that has been caused by the recent bad weather in Scotland. The band had this to say:

As a band we have all been moved by footage of the flooding that has severely affected many parts of the country. Witnessing the destruction in areas close to our hearts spurred us into doing something to try and bring assistance to those affected by the severe weather. We want to help, even in some small way, to lessen the impact on local communities”

Scottish indie punks Watchfires announce charity single to benefit local flood-hit communities

Scottish indie punks Watchfires are set to release “Let the Walls Speak Our Names,” a new single through indie label Struck Dum Records with all proceeds going to The Scottish Flood Foundation to help with the ongoing fight against the flood damage that has been caused by the recent bad weather in Scotland. Ewan Donald of Watchfires said:
