Save Your Generation Records stream new compilation “A Comprehensive Guide To Save Your Generation”

Michigan indie label Save Your Generation Records are streaming a brand new compilation titled, A Comprehensive Guide to Save Your Generation. This 12″ comp is an expansion of the original 7″ TV Dinner series, with bands like Vital Sea, Hot Mulligan, Kayak Jones, Deer Widow, Backpacks, Lawnmower, Welman and many others.

The comp will see its digital release today (March 10th, 2017), with a vinyl release coming in early May. You can check the digital stream out below. Stay tuned for details surrounding the vinyl release.

DS Exclusive: Save Your Generation Records Premieres New Song From Backpacks (Pop Punk) Off Upcoming Compilation Album

The roster over at Save Your Generation Records is one of the most underrated in our humble opinion. Among the many talented acts to call the Michigan based DIY label home are Hot Mulligan, Kayak Jones, Vital Sea, Sliver Age, Lawnmower, Welman and Deer Widow. Another thing all of these bands have in common? They’re all featured on the upcoming compilation album A Comprehensive Guide to Save Your Generation Records! This 12″ vinyl LP will feature several unreleased tracks as well as some old favorites from a multitude of SYG bands. Today, we’re proud to present a brand new song from one of the many incredible acts, pop punks Backpacks! The single “Huron” was produced and engineered by Nick Diener (The Swellers) and mastered by Cam Boucher (Sorority Noise, Old Gray). The LP releases digitally on March 10th (Physical release on 5/5. Hot Mulligan (pop punk) release new music video – “Dary”

Michigan pop-punk group Hot Mulligan have just released a new music video for their song “Dary.” Check it out below.

The track comes from the band’s latest EP, Opportunities, which they released on December 16, 2016 via Save Your Generation Records. The entire EP is available for free/name your price download on the band’s Bandcamp page, right here.

Hot Mulligan are also planning a spring tour with Bogues. Right now we know the tour will start in March, but full dates/locations haven’t been released yet. We’ll let you know when we find out more details.

Hot Mulligan (pop-punk) stream new EP “Opportunities”

Michigan pop-punk outfit Hot Mulligan released their new EP “Opportunities” today via Save Your Generation Records and you can stream the entire thing below.

Hot Mulligan are a 6-piece emo/pop-punk act from Lansing, Michigan. Originally hailing from Michigan’s upper peninsula, the sextet left to record their debut EP, Fenton, with Mat Kerekes of Citizen in October of 2014. After an independent, digital exclusive release of the EP, Fenton saw a physical re-release on Save Your Generation Records in May of 2015. In the same month, the band released their second EP, Honest & Cunning.

Hot Mulligan (Michigan, pop punk) stream two tracks from forthcoming album “Opportunities”

Hot Mulligan
are allowing fans to stream a couple of tracks off their forthcoming release Opportunities. Joining “Something About A Bunch Of Dead Dogs”, which the band allowed fans to enjoy a couple of weeks ago, is second album track “If You Had Spun Out In Your Oldsmobile, This Probably Wouldn’t Have Happened”. The track comes from upcoming 6 song EP, titled “Opportunities,” which is set to be released on December 16 through Save Your Generation Records. Hot Mulligan’s last release was a split EP with Everyone Leaves, released on March 11.

Forest Green (post hardcore, Detroit) stream teaser track from upcoming album “Dead Is Dead”

Detroit’s Forest Green have allowed fans to listen to a track off their forthcoming record “Dead Is Dead” ahead of its general release later this month. The album is due to be launched on November, 18th, 2016 via Save Your Generation Records.

Ryan Allen and His Extra Arms announce new album “Basement Punk”

Ryan Allen (ex-Thunderbirds Are Now, and current member of Destroy This Place) has announced that he will be releasing his third album, Basement Punk, under his solo project Ryan Allen and His Extra Arms.

The new album will be released in September on Save Your Generation Records.

Michigan’s Backpacks are streaming a new song titled “Mourn.”  The song comes from an upcoming split with Hot Mulligan, Kayak Jones, and The Tiny Ugly Germs.  The split is set to be released digitally on March 30th and physically on May 11th via Save Your Generation Records.
