Postscript streaming new EP “Black Blood”

Melbourne melodic punks Postscript are streaming their new EP “Black Blood”. They will be opening for Unwritten Law on February 23rd in Frankston.

Gods of Mount Olympus (Piano Punk, CA) Announce Self-Titled EP

Piano-driven punks Gods of Mount Olympus have announced that they will release their debut EP on Bird Attack Records. The group features members of Unwritten Law and No Use For A Name backing up Joey Cape’s (of Lagwagon fame) solo records’ keyboard player, Brian Wahlstrom. Their sound has been described as being like “Billy Joel on speed”.

If you’re eager to hear what Gods of Mount Olympus sound like, fortunately, you can check them out prior to their self-titled release dropping on the 16th of this month. They’ve been good enough to let fans stream two tracks from the record. You’ll find them below.

 



88 Fingers Louie announce Western Canadian shows

Chicago punk veterans 88 Fingers Louie will be crossing the border for shows in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg this April. Check out the tour dates below.

88’s comeback album Thank You For Being A Friend was released in 2017 through Bird Attack Records. It’s their first full-length in almost 20 years, following 1998’s Back on the Streets.

Punk supergroup A Vulture Wake are finally streaming their newest album, The Appropriate Level Of Outrage, in full. The 10-track album is a combination of sounds that each band member brings from their own bands and it is a necessary release for fans of any of their respective bands.

For those who aren’t in the loop, A Vulture Wake features Chad Price of ALL and Drag The RiverLagwagon/RKL bassist Joe Raposo, Good Riddance drummer Sean Sellers, and former Authority Zero guitarist Brandon D. Landelius.

Punk supergroup A Vulture Wake have premiered more songs off their upcoming debut album The Appropriate Level of Outrage. All three songs that are currently streaming can be heard below.

For those who are unfamiliar with A Vulture Wake, the band features Chad Price of ALL and Drag The River, Lagwagon/RKL bassist Joe Raposo, Good Riddance drummer Sean Sellers, and Brandon D. Landelius of The Mag Seven.

Mute announce 2018 South America and Europe tours

Quebec technical punks Mute have announced a string of South American and European tour dates for 2018. The band will begin their South American leg on February 1st in Brazil, taking them through the content where it will end on February 11th in Costa Rica. On this tour they will be accompanied by Massachusetts hardcore punks No Trigger.

In addition to these dates, the band will be embarking on a tour of Europe starting on July 27th and ending on August 12th. It is still a work in progress so we will update you as soon as the details are released.

The band’s latest album, “Remember Death”, come out last year on Bird Attack Records.



Straightline and BMDS announce Australia tour

Fun tour announcement for all our Aussie readers. Melodic punks Straightline (Germany) and Blind Man Death Stare (Australia) are hitting a fair amount of dates together in the ‘land down under’.

Straightline are sure to play loads of tracks from their full length album “Vanishing Values”, just recently released through US label Bird Attack Records.

A Vulture Wake release new single “Old World Order”

Last week we reported on the formation of a “supergroup” of sorts. Today we learn of their ability to put out super music. A Vultures Wake consisting of Chad Price (All/Drag the River), Joe Raposo (Lagwagon/RKL), Sean Sellers (Real McKenzies/Good Riddance) and Brandon D. Landelius (The Mag Seven) have released the first taste of what’s to come.

The band released the single “Old World Order” which you can check out below.

The full album is expected to be released in January of 2018 on Bird Attack



Punk “supergroup” A Vulture Wake announce new album

Punk supergroup A Vulture Wake consisting of Chad Price (All/Drag the River), Joe Raposo (Lagwagon/RKL), Sean Sellers (Real McKenzies/Good Riddance) and Brandon D. Landelius (The Mag Seven) have announced they will be releasing a full length album. Expected to be released in January 2018 the new album titled “The Appropriate Level of Outrage” was recorded at the infamous Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado.

With no tracks being released yet the band describes the sound as honest, energetic, passionate, and at times technical punk rock with the songs always maintaining a strong sense of melody. The album will be released through Bird Attack and will be followed up with an EP in the spring of 2018. The band has played some shows with 7 Seconds, Strung Out, Pulley and more. They haven’t set any dates yet but they plan on touring in the coming year.

Dead Neck (UK) and ActionMen (Italy) Announce Split Record “Defections” and Japan Tour

Two absolute staples of the European skate punk scene are teaming up and heading out to Japan for a short run of tour dates. Avant-garde, Italian four-piece ActionMen will be joined for the stint of five shows by the UK’s Dead Neck. You can check out all the dates, and venue details on the official tour poster below.

In addition, the two bands have announced that they’ll be releasing a split record together. Entitled Defections, the date it’s expected to drop is still unknown for now. However, a source from one of the bands estimates that it’ll be during the first months of 2018. Of course, we’ll bring you further details as they become available.



Main Line 10 (Punk) reveal video for “Survive”

Spanish self described “melodic happy-freak core” act, Main Line 10 have released a video for “Survive”. The song comes off their most recent album, “Sharks” which came out earlier this year.
