Casual Friday (Pop Punk) Releases Album For Free Download

Corona, CA pop punkers Casual Friday have released their new record “Weekend Forever” for free on their bandcamp.

The band’s sound is similar to Piebald, Rozwell Kid, or Prince Daddy & The Hyena. Dying Scene premiered the video for the record’s title track a few months ago.

They are playing Fest 16 this year and will be touring the U.S. around it this fall. You can check out the record below or order vinyl here.



Open Door Records Release Free Compilation

Open Door Records have released their 2017 compilation, available for free on their website. The compilation includes 22 artists, including Destroy Nate Allen, Modern Color, Prince Daddy & The Hyena, and Just Friends.

Video Premiere: Casual Friday (pop-punk) – “Weekend Forever”

Dying Scene is proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of Corona, California-based pop-punk band Casual Friday‘s new music video, “Weekend Forever.”

The music video is a tribute to Thrasher Magazine’s “King of the Road” video series and the song is off of an upcoming LP to be released this year. Fans of The Ataris and Alkaline Trio will eat this song up.

Casual Friday was just announced to play The Fest in Gainesville.



Just Friends and Prince Daddy & The Hyena Announce Split 7″

Party punks Just Friends and Prince Daddy & The Hyena have announced a Split 7″ to be released just in time for The Fest! The split will be released on yellow and green vinyl and is set to include one original and one Weezer cover from each band.

Just Friends last released Rock 2 The Rhythm on Open Door Records in 2015 and Prince Daddy & The Hyena most recently released I Thought You Didn’t Like Leaving on Broken World Media last month.

Los Angeles melodic hardcore act A Shark Among Us have premiered a music video for their new single “Weathered Hands”. You can watch the video below.

It is not clear if “Weathered Hands” is a one-off single or will appear on A Shark Among Us’ next release, but we’ll keep you posted as more details surface. Earlier this year, they released a 7″ split with Gravemind.
