Hardcore legend Roger Miret to release new memoir “My Riot: Agnostic Front, Grits, Guts & Glory”

New York City hardcore legend and frontman of Agnostic Front, Roger Miret is releasing a memoir. The memoir will document Miret’s life as frontman in one of the most influential hardcore bands of it’s time, as well as the trials and tribulations of growing up punk in 1980’s New York City. The book was co-written with Jon Wiederhorn, best known for his contributions to Rolling Stone as well as his book “Louder Than Hell: The Definitive Oral History of Metal”.

The book, set to be released August 29th via Lesser Gods, will feature forwards written by many of Miret’s peers in the punk world including Jerry Only. So many peers offered forwards that Lars Fredrickson of Rancid’s had to be left out. To hear what Lars had to say about Miret’s work click here.

Comeback Kid sign to Nuclear Blast, release new single “Absolute”

Canadian hardcore punks Comeback Kid have signed to Nuclear Blast with plans to release a new album. To celebrate the announcement, they’ve released a new single titled “Absolute”, which features guest vocals from Devin Townsend. Check out the track below.

Comeback Kid’s latest album Die Knowing was released in 2014 through Victory Records. We’ll keep you posted as details on the band’s next album come to light.



Municipal Waste stream title track from new album “Slime and Punishment”

Richmond hardcore act Municipal Waste are streaming their brand new track “Slime and Punishment”, which is the title track from their upcoming album, and you can give it a listen below.

Slime and Punishment is due for release on June 23rd via Nuclear Blast, and will be the band’s first album in five years.



Danzig stream new track “Last Ride”

Former Municipal Waste drummer Brandon Ferrell dies

According to a recent post on the band’s Facebook page, former Municipal Waste drummer Brandon Ferrell has passed away. His cause of death is unknown. The band writes:

“We are confused and heart broken right now. Thank you Brandon Ferrell for everything you have contributed to this band not only musically but as a friend and a brother.”

Ferrell was the drummer for Municipal Waste from 2002 to 2004, and appeared on their 2003 debut album Waste ‘Em All. He also played a variety of instruments for bands like Direct Control, Government Warning, Wasted Time, Career Suicide, and Obsessor.

Discharge have released a new single from their upcoming album, End of Days. The song is called “Hatebomb” which you can listen to below.

End Of Days will be released on April 26, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Discharge last released an EP, New World Order, in January.

“You Against You” is taken from Slayer’s latest album Repentless. It was their first album since 2009’s World Painted Blood, and their first one with Exodus guitarist Gary Holt as the replacement of the late Jeff Hanneman.



Corrosion of Conformity announce tour dates with Mothership, Lamb of God and Clutch

Metal legends Corrosion of Conformity have announced a two month-long U.S. tour that will kick off from early April to mid-June. The trek will include support from Mothership, Lamb of God and Clutch, and the dates and locations are below.

Last October, it was announced that C.O.C. were signed to Nuclear Blast for their anticipated new album, which will be their first with guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan since 2005’s In the Arms of God. Due to commitments with his other band Down, Keenan (who rejoined C.O.C. last year) was not part of the band’s 2010 reunion, which lasted for two albums (2012’s Corrosion of Conformity and 2014’s IX) and one EP (Megalodon, also released in 2012).
