 My best buds and absolute American heroes in Noogy just ended a 6-day Texas stretch with legendary punk band, T.S.O.L., who is currently on tour promoting their 2017 release, The Trigger Complex. I hit Andre (Noogy) up wondering if it would be at all possible to set up an interview with the man who has become one of my idols – novelist, singer, and American demon – Jack Grisham. He and Anthony hit me back a few nights later from San Antonio, in between sets of rocking out with Piňata Protest and Dead 77, to let me know it was on. I was already planning to roadie the show at Three Links (Dallas), and the conceptualization of this conversation began to dawn on me. Did you read the book? (American Demon) Jack Grisham’s nuts! In what appears to be an effort to milk H2O‘s upcoming covers album “Don’t Forget Your Roots” for all it’s worth Bridge Nine Records will be releasing 3 city themed 7-inches leading up to the full album’s release.  Each 7-inch will contain 3 songs; 2 that will appear on the album and 1 exclusive to […]

In what appears to be an effort to milk H2O‘s upcoming covers album “Don’t Forget Your Roots” for all it’s worth Bridge Nine Records will be releasing 3 city themed 7-inches leading up to the full album’s release.  Each 7-inch will contain 3 songs; 2 that will appear on the album and 1 exclusive to the EP.  Interesting to note that each of these “exclusive” tracks was originally intended to be on the 18 track full-length, but have now been cut out.

The album, due out November 1st, will feature H2O covering songs by Dag Nasty, Verbal Assault, Sick of it AllDescendents, MadballRancid, Social Distortion, Circle Jerks, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Warzone, The Clash,  Bad Brains and more.

H2O  last released the album “Nothing To Prove” on Bridge Nine Records on May 27th, 2008.

While out on tour promoting their new album, Kill Surf City, released March 16 on Solidarity Recordings, Dying Scene was able to chat with “horn-tinged rock ‘n’ rollers” The Atom Age before their performance in San Jose last Friday. In the interview, vocalist/guitarist Ryan Kwon Doe discusses the meaning behind the album artwork, what it was like to play drums with The Queers, and how amazing the band’s new release is, and more. The Atom Age has a lot of plans coming up in the future, so be sure to keep checking back for updates as they come.
