Album Review: Fall For Glory – “Front and Center” (EP)

Fall For Glory‘s new EP “Front And Center” brings a punchy, honest blend of punk rock straight out of the middle of Wisconsin.

Fans of Off With Their Heads, The Dopamines, and the middle-years of Against Me! will enjoy this release.

Musically, the album is hard and punchy enough to be enjoyed by fans of 90’s punk, and lyrically strong enough to hold its own against other debut releases by similar bands. There’s no shortage of good sing-along choruses or forward drive in the songs, and from start to finish, the energy is never lost, something that can be challenging to do, even in an EP release.

My one complaint is that the lack of musical diversity seems to force all the songs to blend together. There’s nothing wrong with the raw punk sound we all love, but it’s also nice to hear a change every once in a while.

All in all, my favorite tracks are “Right Where We Belong” and “Dream Tonight.” My rating: 3.5/5 stars.
