Give You Nothing Bio:

Give You Nothing from Santa Cruz CA was formed in 2016 and are a good mix of skate punk and melodic hardcore. All of the members have played in various punk and hardcore bands in the Santa Cruz area throughout the years including Downpresser, Uzi Suicide, At Risk, No Truce, and many others. After a few years of taking a break from playing they came together with the purpose of starting a project that was a mix of the music and sounds they grew up listening to; the classic melodic skate punk and hardcore popular in California in the 90's from bands on labels like Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords. Some of their musical influences come from The Descendents, Kid Dynamite, Propagandhi, Face To Face, Dag Nasty, Avail, Bad Religion, Black Flag, Reach The Sky, Jawbreaker, Dillinger Four, Samiam ect...

They played their first show in January 2016 opening for Agent Orange and recorded their debut EP, shortly after, which was self-released in the US and released through Umlaut Records in the UK with distributed from Melodic Punk Style Records in Poland. Umlaut sold out their entire first-run of the EP. In the years since they have been playing out, in support of the record, throughout California. They've played with killer bands like Bad Religion, H2O, Slapshot, Face To Face, Agnostic Front, Success, Dag Nasty, Daggermouth, Agent Orange, and more.

They recently went into Sharkbite studios to record their first full length record with Zack Ohren (Recorded: Set Your Goals, Machine Head, Heartsounds, Ceremony among others). The new 12 track album will be released on May 1st in the US on Snubbed Records and in the U.K. by Umlaut Records. The record includes guest vocals from Russ Rankin of Good Riddance and Only Crime on the song "Clean Slate" and Joe Clements from Fury 66 and The Deathless on the song "An Unwritten Chapter.
