Punk legend CJ Ramone has announced he’ll be touring the states this June. Fittingly, he’ll be bringing along Shonen Knife, a female-fronted pop-punk trio from Osaka, Japan. Check out the dates below for a show near you.
Shonen Knife formed in 1981 and was heavily influenced by the Ramones. These ladies still play Ramones covers at their shows and even have a tribute band, Osaka Ramones, when they play full sets while wearing band’s style of jeans and leather jackets. It’s both wonderful and adorable.
CJ will be playing both solo material and some Ramones standards. His most recent album Last Chance To Dance was released November 25, 2014 through Fat Wreck Chords as a follow-up to 2012′s Reconquista.
Shonen Knife is touring in support of their latest release Overdrive on Good Charamel Records.
