Nearly two weeks ago, we reported that The Offspring were expected to have their forever-anticipated new record completed by the end of this month. Well, last night, frontman Dexter Holland posted a brief message on Twitter, where he mentions that the band has been busy finishing the record. He simply wrote,
“Guess I should start tweeting more…been busy in the studio finishing up our record!”
No further more details regarding the album (name, track list, album art, release date, etc.) have been revealed, but stay tuned for more updates. The follow-up to 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace is expected to drop sometime this year.
In order to promote their new record, The Offspring will be playing this year’s edition of the German festivals Rock am Park and Rock am Ring Festivals and have a European tour in the works. Prior to that, they will headline the PunkSpring Festival in Japan, on March 31, 2012 in Tokyo and on April 1, 2012, in Osaka, with Sum 41, New Found Glory, Suicidal Tendencies and All Time Low.
