As you may have heard, Green Day announced they’ll be releasing a documentary called Heart Like A Hand Grenade, which follows the making of their 2004 album, American Idiot. The band previously released a trailer for the film, which you can check out here.
Heart Like A Hand Grenade premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival in California last week and is due out on October 15th for a limited theatrical release. The next day, it will be available on VimeoOn Demand, followed by a worldwide theatrical release November 11th and the digital and DVD release on November 13th through Reprise Records. Billie Joe Armstrong had the following to say about the film:
“We can’t believe this was shot over a decade ago. Little did we know that this was only the beginning of the adventure this record would go on to be…We are stoked for our fans to see this footage for the first time and watch us try and figure it all out.”
