Ian Watkins, lead singer of British band, Lostprophets, has released a statement via his lawyer earlier today. You can read the statement here.
The statement comes in response to his trial being pushed back until the end of may to make room for more evidence evaluation. Watkins was denied bail and will remain in prison throughout the duration of the trial.
Watkins, along with two unnamed women, is currently on trial and charged with child sex offenses, possession of indecent images and conspiracy to rape an infant in December of last year.
“Mr Watkins furiously denies all of the charges and allegations made. He intends to fight to the bitter end to clear his name. He wishes to thank the fans, family and friends for the constant love and support they have given and continue to give throughout this testing time.”
