A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (1/26/14)

As shameful as it is, some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred. You’re welcome.

1. Mark your calendars! Salt of the earth, Fat Mike is set to do an AMA thread on Reddit this week.

2. Face to Face, Good Riddance and Masked Intruder were added to the Punk Rock Bowling lineup. In addition to seeing some gnarly bands, you can come watch Team Dying Scene embarrass themselves while they fling around some balls.

3. Slayer, Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies announced a small run of tour dates. No Pepsi jokes, please.

4. The Lawrence Arms streamed Metropole and you guys really liked it, which is a huge surprise because you little shits hate everything.

5. DS reviewer, Carson Winter can’t decide whether or not he liked Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Neither can I. This album is so confusing.

6. Jay Stone wrote a rad feature on FM359. That Stone kid is really going places.

7. Reel Big Fish announced the third leg of their “Don’t Stop Skanking” tour. Which is really funny because some people should really stop skanking. Looking at you, RBF.

8. Neke Politikoa are from Basque and have a new music video out.

9. H2O will be abstaining from alcohol in Europe this spring. They announced tour dates.

10. Strung Out released a teaser video for their upcoming album.

Those were just some of the most read stories from last week, but there were plenty more little gems covered.  Let us know what what you loved, what you hated and what your personal favorite story was in the comments. If you just can’t get enough of us, follow Dying Scene on Twitter, kick it with us on Facebook and join the Dying Scene mailing list.
