Denver melodic hardcore group Allout Helter will be contributing a pretty rad cover of Lagwagon’s classic tune “May 16” to the upcoming “A Fat Wreck” documentary soundtrack. You can stream that bad boy below.
Told mostly from the fans’ perspective; “A Fat Wreck” tells the story of Fat Wreck Chords’ impact on the current music landscape and how it has shaped the sound and the scene.
Allout Helter released their last album, “Sinking, We Regress,” last May via Dang! Records.

No. No one could ever do this song better than Lagwagon. This cover sucks ass.
I give this 9 out of 10. It’s an awesome cover but the pre-verse riff and the chorus are both played slightly incorrectly.

Lagwagon classic is an oxymoron.

One of my favorite wagon songs…..well done
It’s a tall order for anyone to match Joey Cape. Not bad though. Made me want to listen to the original (in a good way), and isn’t that what a good cover song should do?
No.
LAG WAGON = that’s why fatwreck still put good albums and Mike produced new good bands whitout LW no DS no strong melodic punk band still around nowadays
No
No bueno. There is no reason for this cover to have been recorded.
