Blink-182 (with Matt Skiba) to begin recording new music next month

Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus has apparently confirmed that Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio is an official member of the band, replacing their original guitarist/singer Tom DeLonge, who left the band last January. There does not seem to be much more information right now, but according to Hoppus, the new lineup will be entering the studio next month recording new material.

Blink-182 last self-released an EP entitled Dogs Eating Dogs in December of 2012 after parting ways with Interscope Records. Their last studio album, Neighborhoods, was released in 2011.

Maybe with Matt Skiba on board they’ll actually be able to make some good music for once.

It’s an exciting side project with Hoppus, Barker and Skiba. But It’s NEVER Blink!
