The Gaslight Anthem (and The Horrible Crowes…and Molly and the Zombies…) frontman Brian Fallon has signed officially signed up to enter the world of the movie soundtrack composer.
Fallon will reportedly be writing three new songs and composing the soundtrack for the upcoming film Oriole Park. Set in Chicago circa 1978, the film is billed as “a coming-of-age story set in 1978 in Chicago’s Oriole Park neighborhood, against the backdrop of a community living in the shadow of John Wayne Gacy.” Sounds cheery…
Anyway, Oriole Park will be directed by Kevin Slack, who previously collaborated with Fallon as director of TGA’s videos for “Here Comes My Man,” “Bring It On,” and “Handwritten” as well as Dave Hause’s “C’Mon Kid,” The Bouncing Souls’ “Coin Toss Girl” and more. It’ll star Tom Arnold and Joey King (Crazy, Stupid Love). Stay tuned for more details.
