Legendary punk/heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity have announced that, due to “conditions of chaos beyond their control”, the release date of their new album IX has been pushed back to July 1st, just one week after its planned release date. The band explains:
“ATTENTION: Revised release date July 1, 2014
Due to conditions of chaos beyond our control, we have been informed by our record label that the release date for “IX”, the ninth studio album will be JULY 1st, with vinyl “two weeks later” we are sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this may create.”
IX, which was going to be released tomorrow (June 24st), is the follow-up to Corrosion of Conformity’s self-titled album and their Megalodon EP, both released in 2012.
