Good news for New England-based Darkbuster fans! Temporary bad news for European Darkbuster fans!
First, the good stuff. The Boston punk veterans previously announced their first shows in six years, set to take place in their hometown (and nearby Cambridge) in early August. They’ve now added an extra show, this time at The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The show goes down August 8th; tickets available here on Wednesday at noon. Opening acts haven’t been announced yet, but given that the Boston-area shows contain the likes of Slapshot, The Have Nots, Burning Streets, Yellow Stitches, The Scandals and Rebuilder, we can assure you they’ll be pretty solid. Stay tuned.
Okay, now the bad stuff. Darkbuster had previously been rumored/announced (depending on where you get your news) as openers for Slapshot’s upcoming tour of the European Union. Darkbuster have unfortunately put their EU plans on hold, though Slapshot will still be taking the trip across the pond. Details somewhere on here.
