DS Exclusive: Elder Abuse (Punk) Premieres “Happy New Year” From Upcoming Album “Burnt”

Manitoba skate punks Elder Abuse (featuring ex-members of Daggermouth) have a new album coming out via New York indie label, State of Mind Recordings next month and they smuggled a track across the border for us to stream, exclusively for DS Readers! This well rounded four piece has roots firmly planted in skate punk, hardcore, and pop punk and they execute on all of them masterfully. Something for everyone! If you’re in the Greater Winnipeg area, be sure to head out to the release show on April 28th (more info on that as well as their upcoming post-Pouzza Fest tour in support of the new LP over on their Facebook page ). For the rest of us, preorders are already up so go here if you’re in the US and here for fans in European. If you aren’t familiar with these crafty Canucks yet, stream “Happy New Year” below and then go preorder!

*FFO: Leatherface; Lagwagon; Samiam

When asked about our featured single, the boys explained it simply: “A) Stop feeling sorry for yourself and surround yourself with people that care about you and B) New Year’s Eve is lame.”
