Emmure drummer quits; band announces new drummer

The king is dead, long live the king!

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Mark Castillo, drummer for metalcore band Emmure, has apparently parted ways with the band. Reports have surfaced indicating that Castillo’s split with the band was “amicable,” unlike former drummer Mike Kaabe, whose 2011 departure spawned this diatribe from Emmure frontman Frankie Palmieri.

In related news, it also appears that Adam Pierce from the band All Shall Perish has been filling in on drums for Emmure, at least for the time being, while they are on tour through Europe. Stay tuned for more info.

Emmure’s latest album, “Eternal Enemies,” came out back in April via Victory Records.
