Frank Turner sheds light on his hardcore act, progress of new music

British folk-punk singer-songwriter all around soon to be world-dominator Frank Turner recently sat down for an interview with NME TV, and he offered some insight into the progress of his hardcore side project.  Check out the interview here.

Joining ranks with Ben Dawson (of Turner’s original hardcore band Million Dead) and Matt Nasir of the Sleeping Souls, “musically it’s taking cues from bands like Jesus Lizard and Hot Snakes,” and in Turner’s own words rather depraved lyrically.  The first song written by the band is about “Natalie Portman’s tape worm using her as a glove puppet to lead an uprising in Hollywood”.

Frank Turner most recently released the album “England Keep My Bones” last June via Epitaph Records, and will be releasing his Wembley Arena concert live on DVD in the near future.
