Frank Turner signs book deal for tour memoirs

The UK folk punk star Frank Turner has just announced a deal with Headline Publishers to write his memoirs documenting his departure from the hardcore group Million Dead to his Wembley Arena headlines and 2012 Olympic opening ceremony gig.

Speaking about the news Frank says;

‘It took some persuading for me to think about writing a book of any kind, but in the end I realised I’ve spent a pretty unusual amount of time touring hard in the last few years, and I have a fair few stories to tell, and maybe even a tiny smidgen of wisdom to impart to people starting out on the same path. Plus I come from a family of yarn-spinners, and I can run my mouth, so it makes sense’.

The memoir is due in the Spring of 2015. In addition Frank plans on releasing a new album February 2015.

His last release was Tape Deck Heart in 2013 on Interscope Records, and his hardcore band Mongol Horde released their debut album this past May.
