Full Stream: The Replacements – “Songs for Slim”

The Replacements are streaming their new covers EP Songs for Slim in its entirety. Go here to check it out.

The Songs for Slim EP was made to raise money for former Replacements member Slim Dunlap, who had recently suffered a serious stroke. A digital release came out earlier this week, while the 12-inch vinyl release will be out on April 16th.

The Replacements, who finally reformed last October, called it quits back in 1991 after twelve years together, spanning seven full-length studio albums (the last being 1990’s All Shook Down), a live album and an EP. The band currently has no further plans besides the new covers EP.

Last January, we covered The Replacements’ 1985 classic album Tim in our Sacred Cow Saturday column, which you can check out here.
