Every Friday the punk rock geniuses here at Dying Scene are going to unleash a little bit of punk scene trivia all over your asses. Today’s “fun factoid” is about Epitaph Records owner/Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz and his lesser known punk band.
If you’ve been listening to punk rock for longer than 5 years you definitely know who Brett Gurewitz is. If not, he is the founder of the legendary punk label Epitaph Records and also a guitarist and song writer for punk rock staples Bad Religion. What you may not know, however, is that in the mid 90’s Brett left Bad Religion and started his own band called Daredevils where he played guitar and sang lead vocals. Unfortunately, the group only put out 2 songs on the EP “Hate You” before disbanding.
