Have Mercy’s instruments and gear stolen on 2nd to last day of tour

With just one day left on their co-headlining tour with Pentinmento, Baltimore’s Have Mercy had six guitars, three pedal boards, and a full drum set stolen from their trailer. The band posted the following update on their Twitter page, along with pictures of locks stripped off their van and trailer:

“We were robbed of 6 guitars, 3 pedal boards, drums in buffalo. Sorry guys we’re done with the tour.”

If you’d like to help the band recoup their losses, head over to their webstore and pick up a copy of their new record or a t-shirt, or go here and pre-order a copy of the vinyl reissue of their My Oldest Friend EP.

Touring bands are falling victim to theft more and more – hell, The Last Slice had virtually everything stolen from them just a week ago – and we’ve gotta lend a helping hand in these situations.

Update from Have Mercy:

“Some of our gear but not all was found trying to be sold at a GC in Rochester. Thanks Guitar Center. Still missing 2 guitars, @SJCdrums 12” tom, P900 Iron Cobra pedal, clothes, passports.”
