Apparently after a lot of speculation and many false starts, Lit (yeah, the same band that’s remembered for 1999 hit “My Own Worst Enemy“) announced on their Facebook page yesterday they are finally back in the studio recording their new album with producer Butch Vig (who has produced hit albums by well-known artists like Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Helmet, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Green Day and his own band Garbage).
No further more details regarding the new record have been announced, but stay tuned for updates. It will likely be released sometime from early to mid 2012.
Lit’s last album, which is self-titled, was released back in June 2004. Last July, they posted a video of a demo song entitled “You Tonight” and you can check it out here.
